Let people go far beyond borders, Let our resources contribute to the development of the world at large. Let’s work with different people from varied culture and improve upon our knowledge. Only positive approach to complicated problems can help us to sort this out. To add to the point currently “malayalee” (I don’t want to use the word mallu because it is another broad topic on which I have some reservation) had gained recognition as the best workforce in the world.

Most of the people who are residing in Kerala as well as abroad know what the fact is. But they are always concentrating on grumbling upon the situation one is facing. Everyone is reiterating the words uttered by different people. But let’s be realistic in nature and accept the situation as what it is and contribute our little penny to towards progress.

Every person has to make some sacrifices for attaining their objectives. We ourselves are sacrificing lot of our happiness for this purpose. The happiness of being with our family, The happiness of working in our home country. But one should not forget the fact that it is the timely sacrifices which lead to extraordinary success in the future.

I would like to stress on the fact that Kerala should invest more and more in the education sector. Let’s provide quality education to the next generation. I agree with the fact that Kerala has good literacy rate compared to the national average. Our focus should be to deliver global citizens who are well educated and who can contribute to the world at large. Let our products work at different parts of the world and bring credit to our state. It is ridiculous to know why we want our people to work in our state itself.

When ever we say about Chennai or Kolkata that it is industrially progressed cities we should not ignore the fact that even the most educated youth of that cities are working abroad. But the difference is that they don't grumble upon their situation. But instead they work hard focusing on the future. Especially, As far as Kerala is concerned it is because people had stared relocating from our state during the seventies and eighties that we attained at least what we boast of today. Just think if people are not going abroad what our situation would be?

This does not mean that we don't need any sort of investment in our market. Yes we need investment and progress. But provided our current situation and knowing about "Weakness" we should not be concentrating more on such investment. Its better not to waste our time dreaming about a less possible event.

In reference to the comments posted by Salam and Basheer I would like to my make my point more clear. I would like to go out of box and put forth an opinion which is against the pre set rules which we were following and knowingly or unknowingly has deeply rooted to the minds of average malayalee worldwide.

Firstly, Everyone agrees that we don't have much facility as far as land and other infrastructure is concerned. Mr. Basheer had agrees to this point in the comment posted. I also would like to stress the point that Kerala has educated youth who are awaiting opportunities.

Now i would make clear the point that i mentioned in my previous comment that we need to concentrate upon our strength to develop ourselves. So what is our strength? This is a million dollar question not only to individuals but also to multinational corporate and states as well.

Its often said the secret to success is converting a problem into an opportunity. As shiv Khera said a optimistic sees an opportunity in every problem he face and a pessimist sees a problem in every opportunity. Now at this point of time, We, Our state is facing a problem. The problem is that the educated youth is not able to find opportunities in our shrinked job market. So my point is that why can't we look at this obstacle in a positive way and create opportunity out of this setback.

The aspect @SAJEEREZHIMALA cited has the relevance too. The problem is, VS was supposed to stand for this kind of development, he was always preaching about this issue. Then the question is what has VS done in this direction where development should have been shaped with a human face? VS in his years in power has done little in this direction too. So, overall, isn't VS a hopeless case?

Hi Basheer

I have a very different opinion on all these controversies. Everyone one in kerala is expecting our small state to be like gulf countries or atleast like other metropolitan cities. But provided our population rate and other aspects of our economy and demography, i hope, that we cannot expect the same growth approach here.

We always ask teenage students to plan their career according to what thier strength are not on the basis of what others are saying or what others achieve. In the same way our state has got very different atmosphere very different attitude and a very different strength and weakness. There is no point in going behind the dreams of Bengal Gujarat or any other so called industrialised cities in india.

We have a very meagre amount of free land available which can be given to for these hi-end projects. What we can do is to concentrate upon our strength and do more investment on such areas and this is the only way to attain progress.

Often success is sometimes attained by going through wrongway as well.
